ION's SR-71 SpeedServer™ is the beginning of a new class of servers where I/O performance is finally
balanced with the improvements in processor and memory performance over that last decade! The speed of
processors and memory and even networks have steadily increased, but until now gains in disk I/O performance
have been minimal. The SR-71 delivers disk performance up 100,000 IOPS (I/O operations Per Second)
for random reads by tuning three arrays of Intel® X25-E Solid State Disks. The innovative 2U design includes
(2) Intel® Xeon® X5570 processors at 2.93 GHz, 48GB of DDR3 memory and 1.2TB of solid state storage.<BR>
