Based On Dual-Core Intel® Xeon® Processor 5000

Hauppauge, New York, May 23, 2006 - ION Computer Systems, Inc. today unveiled its A10 (1U) and A20 (2U) high performance servers. Both A10 and A20 servers will incorporate the innovative technology of the new Dual-Core Intel® Xeon® processor 5000 and S5000PAL motherboard to provide faster, processing capabilities and to achieve increased system performance while lowering power consumption.

The Intel® S5000PAL motherboard brings new advancements in memory, power, I/O, and security, optimizing the platform for the demands of multi-core processing.

These processor and motherboard enhancements coupled with changes in the chassis design, which include high performance SAS or cost effective SATA disks as well as improved on board manageability are many of the changes incorporated in the A10 and A20.
